Here is a simplified version of this project that is packed full of comments to help anyone starting out with coding or gamedev with Godot!

Simplified Project

Steps to get it working:

1. Download the zip file
2. Unzip the folder and drag it into Godot
3. Open the project!
   1. I recommend opening mainMenu.gd first. Either:
      1. Click the script icon next to the "MainMenu" node, OR
      2. On the bottom left, open up the "Scripts" folder and double click mainMenu.gd
