A quick little tech demo of what the Brainless game was going to feel like. Brainless was a 2D platformer with occasional top-down elements where the player would be able to enter the minds of their enemies and encounter various different interesting scenarios. This demo shows one of these scenes; a sublevel where the player has to avoid the laser of a scary robot in the background and collect keycards to escape a part of a factory.

Unfortunately, I didn't put the brainsplitting in the demo, I couldn't really make it fit. Also a lot of stuff could be broken (I'd stay away from climbing walls).

Objective

GET BEHIND COVER TO AVOID THE LASER AND GET THE KEYCARD PIECES

Controls

Move - W, A, S, D | Left Stick

Jump (Hold to jump higher) - Space | A/Cross

Attack (Useless) - Left Click | X/Square

Dash - Z | RT/R2

Drop Through Platforms - Hold Down + Jump

Wall Climb - Dash into a wall, holding the dash button (Terrible idea, maybe good for speedrunning idk)

If you want to turn on a speedrun timer press i

(The game may lag a bit on the first playthrough, but after that it should work fine)

I'll try to get the best score possible brainless!!!

i got 1.02.93

The tiles are invisible

Like, all of them?

Yeah, all of them, i can only see lights and other non-tile sprites, im using Firefox to play this game so it could be that. I could also be a  issue with Godot.

Just tried on Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox, and it seems like Firefox is having some compatibility issues with the Godot rendering. I'll have to look into it, thanks for letting me know!
